Salary Band: £23,346 – £26,269 per annum
Due to service expansion we are looking for 2 x Independent Advocates to join our team.
We are looking for dynamic and resourceful individuals with a proven history of supporting vulnerable people, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to speak up in a variety of settings.

- The work can be both challenging and rewarding where no two days are the same.
- You must be able to clearly communicate with diverse groups of individuals and professionals.
- You will be expected to engage with people in a variety of settings i.e. hospitals, care homes and community settings and support them to have a voice in decisions being made about their care and treatment.
- A knowledge of applicable legislation would be useful including the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and others.

Office based, community led.
- Working from the office, hospital and community settings throughout Staffordshire or Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.
- Compiling and providing clear, concise and legible records and reports.
- Working within the legislative guidance for the provision of advocacy and within the guidelines of The Advocacy Charter.
- Carrying out the advocacy role to the standards of the advocacy Quality Performance Mark.
- Adhering to ASIST’s policies and procedures including Equality, Confidentiality, Data Protection and GDPR etc.
